Today we took Michael to camp. I remember growing up and going to Camp Allen. I swear I would start packing a month before I actually left for camp. Michael and Mommy were definitely two different type of campers. When I went to camp, I took 5 different pairs of shoes, curling irons and curlers, and absolutly had to have the perfect outfit for the dance. When Micheal goes to camp, we just pray the he actually takes a shower and changes his clothes. We could probably send one outfit with him and he might remember to change. I will try and find some old camp photos to scan and put on here!
This was Addison first year or really running around the campsite. She had so much fun running around. She really just wanted to go up and down the stairs of Michael’s cabin.

Well today is the 4th of July. It was my grandmothers birthday. For the life of me, I can’t remember how old she would be. My Granny died 9 years ago! She actually died 6 months before my wedding. Strange thing is that my moms grandmother died 6 months before her wedding. So I told my daughter that she was not ever going to get married! I am sure my mom will be happy about that!
So here are the plans for today! If they actually go as planned, it will be a miracle. We are supposed to meet up with GG to watch the local parade. I just can’t remember where we are supposed to meet. After the parade we were planning on going to the country club to go swimming. Well, we are all sick. So I think that it would be better if we skip the swimming! There is supposed to be a street dance at the hardware store. Man, it sounds like we live in some little country town. The only problem with a street dance, well there are a few problems. One, it is outside. Two, it is going to be 103 degrees tomorrow. Three, it is outside. Remember, we are all sick! Then of coursewe are supposed to watch the fireworks. Well again the same problems. Even with the sun down it is still at least 95 degrees. We shall see how this all works out, i will post pictures later. Should be tons of HOT fun!
Forgot to say, Addison was watching Michael light smoke bombs today. She thought the were so fun! Silly little girl.

So here is what we actually did. We did go to the parade, easily found GG, and enjoyed an abnormally long parade. Both Addison and Michael had fun chasing after thrown candy. Mom, Dad, and GG enjoyed the free water being handed out! Headed home for a nap, then met up with GG, Poppy Bill and The Handleys for a an evening of dancing and fireworks. Oh yea, and free bar-b-q. It was alot of fun!!

I know, I know. I have not posted in a while. Well, I did go for over a week without any type of computer. I had bad viruses on both laptops. I vow to try and write on here every day from now on out! I hope!
Now that it it summer, we have been spending lots of time at the pool. Addison is having so much fun playing in the water. I am so glad that she loves it so much. She does not like the lifevests at all. She just does not have the hang of them yet. We were at the pool last week, while Michael had his swim lessons, and she saw a little tube sitting on the side of the pool. She ran over and grabbed it, which made another little girl really mad. The little girls mom said that we could borrow it, and Addison was hooked. I had to go and find one for little Miss. B. I found it for 1 buck. Yea mommy! She loves having that thing on. She is learing to keep her arms straight out so that she doesn’t fall through. Addison has also learned that she likes to play on the steps of the pool. She has also found out that she can only touch on the top two steps. It took a few dunks for her to figure that out. It was so fun to watch. he he he.
INSERT CUTE PIC OF THE KIDS AT THE POOL
I promise I will find that picture later.

Addison, Mommy and GG went in search of a cute little cupcake bakery we had heard of. It was so cute and very pink. Our favorite color. Addison had so much fun running around the store! I had fun taking all the pictures. What follow are the best ones, IMO. Let me tell you, the cupcakes were to die for! They were amazing. We will deffinately have to go back there.

Today Mommy, Daddy, Michael, Addison and GG went the North Shore Rotary Crawfish Boil and Catfish Fry. Michael had really been asking for some crawfish, so we headed to the pavilion in North Shore. GG shopped around the silent auction and Addison and Mommy found some seats for everyone. Daddy and Michael went to get the food. When we got home we decided to get the little pool out for Addison to play in. She had so much more fun in that pool this year. I think the cutest part was when she tried to drink out of the pool just like the dog.

Well let me tell you where mommy has been. Mommy got a job. I started working at Papasitos Mexican Cantina. I think that is the whole name of it. Most just know it as “sitos”. Well, at least that is how it is know by us “Texans”. It is OK work, and I am not away from home very long. Why did you get a job, you may ask? Or Not. But I am going to tell you anyway. Call me selfish if you wish, but I really want to go to California. I just hate to ask Brad for the money. He just works so hard and does really good at school that it feels really selfish to ask for the money to go. So I plan on working long enough to get the money for the trip. I also want to pay off a few bills before I go to. I think it is fair for me to do at least that. There are a few drawbacks from going to work. One is that I am away from Addison. I hate that I have to be away from her! I am just scared that I am going to miss a milestone or something. GG does bring her to the restaurant everyday. It is Papasitos, and it is GG’s favorite restaurant. I also hate the fact that I have not been to the gym in 3 days. YUCK! I have done so good with my weight loss that I don’t want to throw that away. It’s OK, because next week I am on nights and I will be able to get back in the gym. I am sure that my Power Punch buddies miss me. Or at least I like the think that they do!
Just a little note about a BLOG that I have been following for a little while now. Little Kayleigh Freeman died Monday, May 11, 2009. To visit her blog click http://kayleighannefreeman.blogspot.com.
Enough for tonight, I have to work on the photog website some before I head to bed.

We started today with a author’s breakfast for Michael and his 4th grade classmates. Each member of his class wrote their own story and they got it published. It was so fun. Of course, Michael’s was the longest. But, I think his was the best.
Poppy Bill , Addison and I were supposed to go to the camera store today. The weatherman made us change our minds. So we all headed our separate ways and Addison and I headed home. We had tons of fun inside. If anyone knows Addison, knows that she loves to be outside. She will stand at the back window and cry till you take her outside. You can forget even trying to take the trash out without her! So we spent the better part of a very, very rainy day reading books, and magazines (her second most favorite thing to do), watching YO GABBA GABBA, and taunting the animals (this seems to be an everyday occurrence). Today, Addison discovered THE WIGGLES! Yea! I got a really funny video of her dancing with the guys on the TV. Overall it was a great day, inside!
Addison and Shasta

She was feeding Shasta animal crackers. That’s a little weird.
Addison and Smokey

She was stacking movies ontop of Smokey. He never moved. It was so funny!
And for Addison “Dancing with the stars” debut……..

Today started kinda slow. What does that really mean? Michael went to Sunday school and I slept in. Well kinda, I was up by 8:30am. Brad went down to U of H to work on a school project around noon. So Addison, Michael and I just stayed around the house. Michael and his friends played slip and slide, while Addison and I worked in the front flower beds. Ok, here is the scoop. There is this lady in my neighborhood that seems to be working in everyones yards lately. She is kinda weird, but she has a beautiful yard. She is out there everyday, working hard. I want my yard to look like hers. So I thought that if i did a little work everyday, my yard could look like hers. Man….I have a ton of work to do. I hate to see what the inside of the house is going to look like. Anyway, the mosquitoes were really bad around the flowerbeds so we called it a day! We worked for about 30 minutes. When I say we, I mean me and Addison. She loves to help me put leaves in the trash bag. ONE LEAF AT A TIME. It is really funny to watch her work. She is very serious about it!
We then decided it was chalk time. I saw somewhere that someone (who will remain nameless…she is a great photographer) drew a kids name with chalk then had them sit by it and take there pic. Well….here is what happened with our little photoshoot. I did get a great picture of the letter that I drew.

GG and Poppy Bill came over for dinner. I actually made a new recipe that i got from Charlotte S. It was a Pampered Chef recipe. It was Curry Chicken. Let me tell you, it was great. Brad has this thing about curry. (he hates it) Well, he even liked it…I think?
We had and great day and a great evening. THE ROCKETS WON (game 4 of the playoffs) GO ROCKETS, CLUTCH CITY!
